Last weekend Stourport Carnival celebrated its 94th annual festivities with a fantastic variety of floats, dancing groups, brass bands, carnival Queens and volunteers ‘dressed up’ collecting money for charity, marching through Stourport-on-Severn town centre. In addition, the exciting funfair and illuminated night-time boat parade created a real party atmosphere for holiday makers to enjoy.
As always Hillandale Caravan Parks was at the heart of the parade with four parks contributing innovative floats created using golf buggies usually used to take customers on park tours!
The Coppice Leisure Park designed an extraordinary Toy Story float, built to impress spectators all the way from Stourport, to infinity and beyond!
The Glen Caravan Parks Up (the film) inspired concept proved not to be a pie in the sky, but instead an ingenious design that brought the house down!
Lickhill Manor Caravan Park took us Back To The Future with an inventively built DeLorean that gave 80’s children happy thoughts of their childhood.
Lincomb Lock Caravan Park certainly were not clowning around when they constructed their outstanding Circus display complete with an array of performer’s.
Following meticulous inspections by the carnival judges, The Glen Caravan Park was not only crowned winners of the best Decorated Golf Buggy but also the overall best float for their superb domestic creation. A very well-earned victory indeed!
All our park managers and customers who helped design and create these innovative displays made a mammoth effort for many weeks in the run up to the event, helping make this year’s carnival one of the best yet. A big thank you to you all!
We look forward to doing the same again for the Stourport Carnival 2020 and we hope to see you there.
